Hula and The Real Estate Market Today

Superbowl Sunday
February 3rd, 2008 4:21 PM

Yes even those of us that are not football savvy-got the game turned on.....why? Cuz that's what you do in America. There are a lot of plus's to superbowl sunday....

1) The phone doesn't ring.

2) No one's on the road, so driving somewhere is a breeze.

3) Best time to shop, no long lines and everyone working is wondering why your not at home watching the game.

4) The terrific commercials and of course half time.

So what could be better....yep I love SuperBowl Sunday.

HB Agent
February 27th, 2008 8:26 PM

A great time to buy...have you heard that over and over?? It's because it's true. Yes the prices are higher than they should be but lower than what they were. So buyers be encouraged now is the time to shop, make offers and go for those dream homes.

Finding a good Real Estate Agent is not hard, there are so many in the HB area to choose from. My best advice is to find an agent who is naturally service oriented because once the transaction has begun service is what you'll be depending on. It doesn't hurt to have an agent with a good disposition/even temperment either, the buying of a new home is very stressfull and you'll need an encouraging smile sometimes to get you through.

As always, I'm available to see you through the purchase or sale of you home.

Rainy days and Mondays always get you down.....
February 25th, 2008 9:03 PM

Well we've had some rain and cold weather, but today the sun was out and the air was clean. Still a little on the cold side, but then again it is winter. Monday's what can I say, must of started as a kid, but I just don't want to get up and out on Monday mornings. However, once up I realize I'm not alone. Most everyone I come in contact with all have the same look, the one that says I wish I didn't have to get up today. Guess that just makes me smile a little and then the day seems fine. Must be that feeling of belonging. Welcome to Monday....it's not so bad after all.

Expect the Unexpected
February 21st, 2008 8:29 AM

It's true that the purchasing of a home is very stressfull, not because your giving away your life savings and your paycheck for the next 10-30 years but because while in the transaction the house has the appearance of falling apart before your very eyes. Don't ask me why, but it's like the home knows that someone new will be owning her and she wants to make sure that you are up to the task. So before the keys are handed over, anything that can go wrong usually does. Most times it's a simple fix, and this is the time your given the opportunity to re-think the whole process.

Of course as a Realtor, all the stress's are doubled. Your trying to comfort the buyers, pressure the sellers, deal with the inspectors, contractors, sellers agent, escrow, lender(s), and still have a smile on your face at the end of the day. You know in the end it will all work out but you can be sure to "Expect the Unexpected"

Cold and Windy
February 14th, 2008 9:53 AM

Huntington Beach has actually had a decent winter so far, rain, wind and cold. I love it. I guess it's because I know the rest of the year will be warm and sunny so today I'm going to enjoy the difference.

Cold and Windy is sometimes the climate for Real Estate. Buyers and Sellers can take on this "tude"with their agents. It amaze's me that you can work so hard to meet all of their needs and they can't remember what you did for them yesterday when the road gets tough today. If your a buyer or seller give your agent the respect they deserve. Because what you don't see is all the behind the scenes work it takes to get you what you want, believe me the money doesn't even cover the energy, time and stress that some transaction's have.

Quote for the day "Be Kind to Your Agent", they deserve it.
