Merry Christmas
December 19th, 2007 8:00 AM

Yes, I say Merry Christmas. Not going to shy away from the Reason for the Season. It is the time to  be thankful, give from the heart and remember why we celebrate. If you don't do that you kinda miss the boat, as well as miss the joy your going to receive. I was given the opportunity help a homeowner keep his home by contacting his Lender (several times) and even though they ignored me like I was the plague I was able to squeeze all the information from them to give to my client which encouraged him to call them and work it out. This became a gift to me when he was able to stay in his home that was scheduled for auction the day after Christmas. Knowing that you had the opportunity to make something right for someone else is the best gift of all.

The Reason for the Season, is the Birth of Jesus Christ who came to save those who were lost and guarantee anyone who believes in His name an eternity with Him in heaven. For those of us who believe, we have hope, peace and joy.

I wish you the same.

Christmas Eve
December 23rd, 2007 2:36 PM

Every family have their own traditions, over the years ours has changed. We seem to travel every Christmas Eve, sometimes just to grandma's house and sometimes across the US to visit family, but it seems WE are always the ones to travel. This year is no different, I really don't mind I'm always headed toward family and friends, good times, warm hearts and everything you enjoy about Christmas so I'm re-naming Christmas Eve to Travel Eve and having a great night. Who knows maybe I'll pass Santa Claus in the sky.

Have a truly Magical Christmas.

Lazy Daze
December 16th, 2007 9:07 AM

Sunday's are always the kick back, lazy days but during the Christmas Season the world gets in their cars and wanders about. Not necessarily shopping, some are visiting friends and family, some are off to fine dining, some just driving around to see the lights and decorations. Whatever the reason, be careful not to run into anyone just not paying attention to the road. Along with all the traffic, you need to have an attitude of calm or you can be caught up in the frenzy and there goes your Lazy Dazey Sunday. Enjoy your day, no matter what.

15 year Mortgage, Start in 2008
December 14th, 2007 11:04 AM

As the New Year approaches, everyone begins to sort out the areas of their finances that could be beneficial to their future plans. One way to decrease the mortgage payments over the life of your loan is to pay bi-weekly. Usually their is a set up charge/fee from your lender but most lenders are able to get this started right away.

Instead of making 12 monthly payments you make 26 payments split in half which means 1 extra payment toward your principle per year, and pays your mortgage debt in half the time.

Seems easy, seems simply but if your only receiving one paycheck a month it's not that easy. However if you receive your paychecks every other week, this is the best way to own your home in 15yrs instead of 30yrs.

Just something to think about, 2008 is going to be a wonderful year for Real Estate and I'm looking forward to the challenges it will bring. I don't just want to be your agent for the one transaction, I want to be your Real Estate agent for life and I want you to know everything possible to help you make the right decision's along the way.

Tis the Season
December 7th, 2007 10:43 PM

To be Jolly....just can't get the lights and decorations up this year. And I absolutely love all the Christmas hoopla, I love the colors, the lights are so festive and everyone's decorations bring a smile to my face. Year after year I was always the first to have all the Christmas up before anyone and wondered why they all ran so late to get theirs up. Now I'm the last one on the block. Rain or no rain this week-end, I just have to put the lights up, or at least a tree, and maybe some decor I'm already getting tired.

Tis the Season.....

Trustee Sale
December 5th, 2007 10:09 PM

The process where a home is auctioned at the courthouse steps. Step one your behind on payments, step two you receive an NOD (notice of default) step three you receive an NOTS (notice of trustee sale) step four auction.

As a realtor you work with buyers, sellers, investors, lenders, title reps, escrow officers, other agents, home inspectors, appraisers, and the list goes on. The most important thing to remember is that they are all real people, and with the difficult circumstance of a Trustee Sale the emotion and tension is thicker than normal.

Trustee Sale, not fun but necessary for a lender to do what they can to recover their losses.

Trustee Sale, an opportunity for an investor to pick up a property at below market prices.

Trustee Sale, a feeling of failure to have lost their family home and much more.

All this to say, Trustee Sales are much more than what they appear to be.
