Hula and The Real Estate Market Today

It Never Rains in California
November 30th, 2007 8:37 AM

But it does pour. Finally, a rainy day to enjoy. Now it actually feels a little, just a little like it may be winter. I do miss the change of seasons even if it's just a day of rain it feels good to have a change of weather. Plus in California I think it also means that people don't go outside, don't jump in the car to travel and don't go out at all. YEAH, less traffic has to be good.

I'm going to sit back and smile, one day of rain is a great start to my inner winter holiday. I'm watching my hummer (bird) from my window take in the rain, and I can tell he's also enjoying it. Hope you do to.

Real Estate Shopping
November 30th, 2007 8:54 AM

Yes Real Estate Shopping made easy the Internet way. Yes, I do the same. It's a good place to start but not end. Here's an article taken from Realty Times by Mollie W Wasserman that I thought was nicely put.

Despite advertising claims to the contrary, the Internet is not an experienced real estate professional. It cannot consult, counsel, advise, apply knowledge of local real estate laws and market conditions, make judgments, own the result or most importantly, understand your individual goals and needs and care about you as a client. Furthermore, while the Internet can provide information, it cannot interpret it.

The consumer clearly wants choices. But the choices should be in their being able to choose the quality services they want and need and how they can pay for them, not choosing by price. Most consumers don't know the value that a professional providing expert judgment and guidance can provide. They don't know the difference between gathering data and interpreting what it means. Most simply don't have the background to distinguish between real estate choice and real estate cheap. It's about time that we start telling them.

Thanks Mollie, that's the truth. Give yourself the best service available and find a good Realtor to take you through the process, there's a lot more to it than you may think. We really work for our commission, and in the long run you actually save money by using a professional. Ask yourself if you want the least expensive Doctor, Dentist, Lawyer, Auto Mechanic? Probably not.

Happy Hunting, Dee

Worship Hula
November 27th, 2007 10:23 AM

What's that??? It's what original Hula was all about, a way to express your praise and worship to your maker. I love to Hula and I'm fortunate to work with "The Ladies of Hula" in Huntington Beach. We perform several times a year at Senior Centers, Art Centers, Community Events and Private Luau's. Our name let's you know we are not the coconut bra group, we are what the Hawaiians would call the TuTu's of hula or the grandma's. Even though we aren't all grandmas. We are having a great time entertaining and performing whenever we can. But back to my original story of Worship Hula, recently I have been part of a praise and worship group called Sonlight Praise Team, we performed for a Senior Center in Seal Beach last week and it was great. This week I joined a church worship Hula group at Cerritos Baptist Church and we performed "People Need the Lord", choreographed by Portia Senoa. What a great way to worship and dance. I'm looking forward to participating in more praise teams that incorporates all aspects of worship, especially Hula.

Shop till Ya Drop Day
November 23rd, 2007 11:07 AM

Yes...everyone has the shopping bug disease..even I get into it now and then. I'm not a shopper, you can ask anyone I know. Not that I don't like looking, walking and just being out with everyone. It's the actual purchase part that I'm not enthusiastic about. Standing in line, standing in line and then of course you have to stand in line. That's why internet shopping has become so popular, it takes the standing in line part out. YEAH, and every item you purchase arrives by UPS or Fed-ex or US Postage to your front door. What could be better than that? So you see I don't mind shopping, just not the old fashion way.

Hurray for the 20th century shop till you drop via internet. I'm sure it's here to stay!

For everyone else have fun standing in line.

Goble, Bloble, Globle
November 19th, 2007 9:21 PM

Yes, Turkey Day is rapidly approaching...I can feel my waist expanding just thinking about it. Why? Do we insist on eating a 12 course meal all at once every Thanksgiving? It makes no sense, we struggle with the leftover Halloween Candy and then comes Pumpkin Pie....

All I can say is keep the Tums handy, start drinking tons of water (to push it all through quickly), and try to walk before, during and after, and you too will get through Turkey Day*

Goble, Goble, Goble

Blog, blog, blog
November 15th, 2007 8:52 AM

It's hard to schedule the blog in, not that I don't have some time available only that I just forget. Now that Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching, I'm getting the nudge to pull out all the kitchen tools and start the cooking process. I love to cook, have family over and basically be the queen of the whole process. All I need to do is get started, just like remembering to blog.

Have a warm, sunny, and great California Day!

Cool Weather Shift
November 7th, 2007 12:50 PM

I'm loving the cooler weather, of course my sunny Calif. Beach Friends are not happy. They want sun all day every day, but I like a change now and then. I can finally wear those great black boots, that are getting dusty in the closet.

As always it's a great time to jump into the Real Estate Market, property is definetly on SALE. Here at the beach, prices are dropping but not to quickly and not too much I think it's still the place everyone wants to live and enjoy the Sun, Surf and Sea.  But don't wait too long, you just might be too late to find your home at the SALE prices.

FALL.....ING.....BACK
November 4th, 2007 7:06 AM

Yep, woke up way to early this morning. I could of slept in an hour longer or maybe this is just the way my body is now able to wake up earlier. Either way I'll adjust. I love this time of year with all the Holidays ahead of us, I use to be so busy at this time of year but once your children have grown up and are having children of their own it's even better.

Hope your Fall....ing Back into a great time of year, just fall back, relax and enjoy.
